Help us ensure Ron Paul is WV's nominee in 2008!
This election season, West Virginia is holding a new GOP nominating convention process that will have a greater impact on the national elections than ever before.
On the morning of Super Tuesday, February 5th, the WVGOP will be holding its convention in the state's capital of Charleston. While many states will be holding primaries on Super Tuesday, WV will be the first to report its nominee on that day. The media will be discussing WV's results for 7 or 8 hours while they are waiting for the other states' polling results to come in.
This new process is complicated, and it all depends on successfully fielding delegates to the state convention. While we are doing fairly well at registering people to run as delegates for Ron, most of the delegates remain uncommitted.
Furthermore, all of the Republican members of the State Legislature and the WV Board of Public Works are automatically entitled to be delegates. This is a crucial demographic that we must reach with Ron's message.
Other campaigns have already been here courting the legislature. Mitt Romney himself has visited. So has Rudy Giuliani. Fred Thompson even sent his young bride here to lobby the legislature on his behalf.Â
Now it's our turn.  Please help us with a direct mailing to the Republican members of the WV State Legislature and Board of Public Works. Â
I want to send the following to each Republican member of the Legislature and each Republican member of the Board of Public Works:
*A Personalized letter encouraging them to vote for Ron
*A 12-page Ron Paul bio booklet from the campaign store
*A "True Conservative - Real Republican" slimjim
*A Self-Addressed, Stamped Envelope so they can send for more info
*A business card so they can contact Ron Paul activists here in WV for more info
Your help is needed in paying for the bio booklets, envelopes, postage, paper, and ink. By helping us reach this crucial demographic, you could help ensure that Ron Paul is WV's nominee in 2008.
Any funds left over from this mailer will be used for a subsequent mailer designed to reach the many delegates currently registered to attend the convention who have not yet declared support for a particular candidate.
